CARING FOR YOUR SWIMSUIT.
How do I wash my swimsuit?
1. Rinse Immediately After Use
Rinse in cool water as soon as you can after swimming — whether it’s saltwater, chlorine, or even just sunscreen and sweat, it all needs to go.
2. Hand Wash Only
Gently wash separately in cool water using mild soap or swimsuit-specific cleanser. Avoid regular laundry detergent — it can be too harsh.
3. No Wringing or Twisting
Gently press out water instead of twisting. Twisting can damage the fibers and stretch the shape.
4. Lay Flat to Dry
Lay your suit flat in the shade — avoid direct sunlight (which can fade colors) and never use a dryer.
5. Avoid Fabric Softeners & Bleach
These break down the fabric and reduce elasticity.
6. Rotate Swimsuits
If you swim often, rotate between suits so each one gets a break. Elastic needs time to recover!
How do I remove trapped sand?
Wait until your suit is fully dry — trying to remove sand while it’s wet just pushes it deeper into the fibers.
In order to remove trapped sand, gently run your fingernail over dried swimsuit fabric or turn the swimsuit inside out and give it a few good shakes. This helps dislodge loose grains.
What to avoid?
Never leave rolled up wet. Spa baths may cause damage to your swimsuit.
Fake tanning products and some sunscreen lotions may mark or damage swimwear. It is recommended to take extra care when using these products and always ensure they are completely dry before they come into contact with your swimsuit.
Avoid contact with rough surfaces as this may cause snags or pilling to swimwear.
GARMENT CARE.
COTTON.
Cold hand or gentle machine wash. Always separate the whites to keep them fresh and vibrant. Hang to dry and iron with a warm iron. Always iron on the reverse side if the garment has a print or treatment.
LEATHER.
Leather pieces are some of the best investments you will ever buy, so treat them well and love them. These will be some of your longest-living and loved garments so they are well worth the investment, and the care you put into looking after them. We recommend to find a good, reputable dry cleaner that specialises in leather garments and have your leather garments cleaned professionally.
SILK.
Hand wash only. Fill a clean sink or small tub with lukewarm water and a small amount of delicate-friendly liquid detergent. Lightly agitate for three to five minutes and rinse well.
